Privacy Policy
Interim notice, updated July 19, 2026. The short, plain version while our attorney-reviewed policy is finalized:
- You provide and control everything we know about your child. Only what a story needs; everything beyond name and age is optional.
- Photos are optional, stored privately, and removable. A photo is sent to the contracted image service only when needed to create your family's illustrations. We do not sell photos or use them to train our own models.
- Account access controls and private storage are designed to isolate each family's profiles, photos, and stories from other families.
- A small number of our team can review the stories your family makes, and the details you share to make them, so we can keep quality and safety high.
- Payments are handled by Stripe; we never store card details.
- We send a small number of reminder emails, and text messages only if you ask for them, after your free stories. Every message has an easy way to stop them. No other marketing without your say-so.
- We record a narrow first-party product funnel using a random session cookie. It excludes IP addresses, device identifiers, emails, child details, story text, and request URLs. Signed-in events may be associated with your account and are deleted after 180 days.
- Service providers currently support hosting and storage, text and image generation, payments, email delivery, and book fulfillment if printed keepsakes are offered. They receive only what is needed to perform those functions.
- You can export saved story text and basic profile data, remove individual photos, delete a finished story, or delete the account from Settings. Deletion cancels active subscriptions and removes our active copies of private media, delivery details, and contact details. Payment and print providers may retain transaction or fulfillment records under their own legal duties and retention policies. We may retain a minimal purchase ledger when required for fraud, tax, refunds, disputes, or legal compliance.
The complete policy, reviewed for children's-privacy law, will replace this page before scaled public acquisition.
